Along the way, I've seen three dead kangaroos, and there live kangaroos. Three dead kangaroos were seen on the dead straight road to mildura starting from Bendigo, each several dozens kilometres apart. A guy in the hostel told us not to drive after dusk because you will get higher risk of knocking down roos. Three live roos were seen unexpectedly in Wyperfeld National Park, while we drive along scorched tarmac road. They sat next to each other under the shade of native tree, while watching us inside our heated tiny 2-doors Toyota Echo which they rarely seen since probably most of the visitor uses 4WD to move around the park.
